I was at Sim Lim Sq the other day and came across a Kim Hock Guan branch nearby. Here's the address if you are interested as it should have a shorter queue compared to the Fook Hai main shop come CNY. Also 1 at Katong.
* 180 Bencoolen St #01-25 The Bencoolen (facing Bencoolen St)
* 107 East Coast Rd (opp Katong Mall)

I tried calling Kim Hock Guan to enquire about their prices using the number listed here, but was unable to reach them.
Noticed the telephone no listed is the same as Lim Chee Guan.
Managed to get it from a friend, who is a regular at Kim Hock Guan.
The telephone number should be 65352536.

Besides Bak Kwa, I just want to share that Chinese New Year in Singapore is not complete with flowers and plants that symbolizes auspicious meaning. These can be found in Singapore Nurseries. Check it out here and learn http://hubpages.com/hub/Chinese-New-Year-Flowers-and-Plants--Singapore
