Placed my first Facebook advert, it was simple. However, you may want to be familiar with the common mistakes so that your ads will get approved immediately. Here’s the URL to Facebook Advertising’s Common Ad Mistakes: http://www.facebook.com/ads/mistakes.php
And before going to Facebook to place your ad, make sure you’ve done your homework:
- Prepare a short title and description for your ad. Use benefit statement in the description.
- Prepare an attractive banner size 110 by 80 pixels.
- Determine the ad category (known as keywords in Facebook) e.g. Marketing, Programming, Web Design and etc.
Facebook Advertising a Step-by-Step Guide
1. Enter the URL of the landing page
e.g. http://www.finggle.com/seo-workshop/2. Target audience by selecting the appropriate demographic e.g. location, gender, age and the categories by entering the keywords
3. Enter the ad title, description and upload the banner
4. Choose between “Pay for Clicks” or “Pay for Views” and set bid price
5. Review ad and place order
6. Enter credit card information
7. Wait for the ad to be approved, usually within minutes.
