The COMEX 2010 will be held at Suntec Singapore from 2 to 5 September 2010. With over 820 exhibitors participating in this year Comex Singapore, it is expected to be another record-breaking year in terms of visitor numbers.

The COMEX 2010 will be held at Suntec Singapore from 2 to 5 September 2010. As with the IT Show and PC Show held earlier in March and June, this year’s Comex Show is expected to be crowded.

Singapore’s economy is doing very well and people are having more cash in the pockets. Many are willing to spend more on the latest electronic gadgets such as the iPad, game consoles, digital cameras, portable hard drives, LED TV, BluRay players, laptops, netbooks and etc.

Over 820 Exhibitors at Comex 2010

However, I observed that as compared with last year, many of the big brands were either absent or had smaller booth in the earlier IT Show 2010 and PC Show 2010. I really hope to see Acer, Asus, Canon, Dell, Fujitsu PC, HP, Lenovo, LG Electronic, Nikon, Sony, Samsung and etc. have bigger presence and showcase their latest products at the Comex Singapore.

COMEX 2010 Price List

I do not have many items on my list. I will need a wireless Wi-Fi laser printer and hopefully save enough to buy the Olympus E-P2. To get the best bargain, I will download all the Comex Price Lists I could get hold of online, from Hardwarezone and Bootstrike, to compare prices and freebies before going to Suntec Singapore to get my wireless laser printer which probably will be a HP, Epson, Brother or Lexmark printer.

After parking the domain MeetUp.com.sg for several months, traffic was coming from people who were looking for Singapore online dating and the idea for online meeting scheduler was abandoned.

Not too long ago, I registered the domain MeetUp.com.sg for a project I had in mind. I thought of making a website to help people to schedule small group meeting easily with a simple online app.

Project Abandoned, Domain Parked with Sedo

<embed src="http://www.sedo.co.uk/bannerwerbung/bannerpage/flash/_uk/surf_240X300.swf" quality="high" scale="exactfit" menu="false" width="240" height="300"swLiveConnect="false" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash">I registered MeetUp.com.sg before I got to know about Doodle.com which I think is a fantastic online meeting scheduler and extremely easy to use.

Now that I am happily using Doodle and not having to pay a dime, I decided to abandon the project and park the domain, MeetUp.com.sg, with Sedo.com. I intended to just let it parked there until the domain registration expires.

However, I was surprised to see that people are actually visiting this domain, without me doing any form of advertising, marketing or promotion.

This blog post is the first time I mentioned about this domain name publicly.

Why not pay $85 per month for a MacBook and faster 10Mbps broadband.

Am I stuck with 10Mbps when Next Gen NGN is ready?

Singtel 10Mbps will probably be fast enough until the Next Gen NBN becomes fully operational in 2013. But I expect some home users will be able to connect to Next Gen NBN by 2012 and prices of home broadband will spiral down as more players come on board to offer high-speed broadband.

If you are not current bounded by any fixed broadband contract, then go down to Suntec Singapore Level 6 Hall 601 to grab your free MacBook!

Over the past week, I was asked the question more than 10 times… “Are you going to the PC Show 2010?”. The Singapore PC Show 2010 begins tomorrow at Suntec Singapore and ends on Sunday, 13 June 2010. Earlier, my business partner asked me if it’s a good idea to visit the PC Show at Suntec to buy his son a Nikon DSLR. Yes, the PC Show is now more of a consumer electronic trade show than just showcasing IT and PC related products.

Well, my reply to him was to do all the research first and decide on the model before going to the PC Show to look for a bargain.

PC Show 2010 Featured Ads on DL

Because of a meeting earlier in the morning, I didn’t get a chance to read the Straits Times’ Digital Life until lunch time. The items on my shopping are not available in Singapore yet (i.e. the Apple iPad and iPhone 4) so there is really no hurry to find out what’s on offer at the PC Show tomorrow.

If money was no object, I would like to buy a mini notebook or large netbook for carrying around to surf the internet and reply email. I find my 15″ MacBook Pro is quite a hassle to lug around and my eeePC too small for practical use. So I need a smaller and lighter notebook or a netbook with a larger display, at least 11.6″ display.

HP Mini Laptop – Mini 311

Lenovo Thinkpad X100e $799**

I believe both the HP Mini and Lenovo Thinkpad X are not the latest models and should be available at a bargain price at the PC Show. And here’s more cheap laptops.

Asus Pro23A 12.1″ Mini Notebook $898**

If you are looking for latest netbook with an even larger screen, you may want to check out Asus Pro23A which has a faster SU3500 processor and 12.1″ display for $898.

PC Show 2010 Asus Booth A2008(L4) & B2011(L6), Suntec Singapore

The Star Buy at the PC Show 2010

I think the best bargain on notebook comes from MSI. It was a big ad in the Digital Life but I took note of the “STAR BUY” banner and attracted to the Intel Core i3 processor.

Yes, MSI CR420-i3 has a Core i3-330M processor and 14″ HD LCD, and it’s going for only $899 at the PC Show. It was $999 at the IT Show 2010 3 months ago.

MSI CR420-i3 14″ Notebook $899**

Why No Acer MIni Notebook?

Because I cannot find advertisement on Acer Notebook in today’s Digital Life PC Show Special!

iPad Singapore Release Date

The release date of iPad for Singapore, Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands and New Zealand will be in July. Apple will announce the exact date, local pricing and pre-order plans for these nine countries at a later date.

However, it was not clear if both iPad and iPad 3G will be both available for the international release on 28 May 2010.

I heard there is a new shopping mall, Parco Marina Bay, opened several days ago. But I don’t know where is it – at Marina Bay? I am sure it is not the Parco at Bugis Junction. So I tried Google Maps but cannot pinpoint the location. Then I turned to the new OneMap Singapore, there was no result. Then I found this article at DivaAsia.com – Shopping… at Parco Marina Bay.

Reading the article, I discovered that it is located at Millenia Walk, above the Promenade MRT Station of the Circle Line. The DivaAsia article gave a good account on what to expect at the new shopping mall – Parco Marina Bay.

Next Fashion Incubator Zone

The build that Parco Marina Bay now occupies is not new. It was formerly occupied by DFS Galleria. According to a report by Business Times, the Japanese mall operator, Parco has set aside 6,000 sq ft of space for the Singapore government-backed Next Fashion Incubator Zone. It will showcase apparel and accessories from 25 emerging designers.

I first heard of Megatex Singapore in 2009. Megatex is yet another electronics and IT expo show. This is in addition to the 4 mega consumer electronics expo at Suntec Singapore and Singapore Expo: IT Show Singapore, PC Show Singapore, Comex Singapore and SITEX.

In 2009, there were two Megatex Expo held at the Singapore Expo: 9-12 April 2009 and then again from 23 to 27 December 2009. I guess it must be doing well to have the event repeated by the organizer every year.

The prices of electronics gadgets and electric appliances are very attractive, especially the special price items. You can find many branded products at very discounted prices e.g. Sony LCD TV, Philips CD Micro System, Casio Digital Piano, Acer Desktop PC, Lenovo Notebook, Asus Netbook and etc.

If you are thinking of visiting the next Megatex Expo then it will be…

Megatex 2010

1-4 April 2010
Singapore Expo Hall 4B

I have yet to visit the Megatex Expo, reason being it is organized by Courts and the variety is not as wide as those found in the IT Show, PC Show, Comex and SITEX.

Drop me a comment below and let me know what you think of the Megatex Expo as compared with the rest of the IT shows.

Just got the latest update from Google Hot Trends and saw one of the hot searches in Singapore was anne curtis swimsuit malfunction. I didn’t know who she was. Maybe some popular actress. Maybe another Ris Low. I clicked the link and saw Anne Curtis in a fallen bikini, oops…

Getting into the Headline News with Nip Slip

Here’s another photo of Anne Curtis nipple slip.

Well, such repeated acts of nip slip might get skeptics thinking that she was trying to get more publicity, albeit negative one.

But the young actress claimed that it was just an accident and she was upset – “I really feel upset it’s coming out. Sana they had a little respect man lang“.

Wedding flowers are one of the most important aspects of your wedding. Choosing the right wedding flowers will accentuates the spirit and mood of your big day, and the right wedding bouquet, like your wedding dress, will make you more beautiful.

So, let’s select a hand bouquet that will look gorgeous on you.

Ask yourself this question: “What specific flowers do I want?”

Consider the color, shape, and fragrance when selecting your bouquet flowers.

Keep in mind that some flowers are not in season all year round. For example, tulips are not suitable to hot climate while roses, especially the red ones are all time favorite for weddings.

Which Hand Bouquet Styles is Right for You

The next thing to consider is the styles of hand bouquet: posy, nosegay, cascading, sheath, crescent, hand-tied bouquet and etc.

In order to choose a hand bouquet style that looks good on you and in your wedding photos, the most important thing to consider is your height and body shape.

If you are a not-so-tall bride…

Go for a large sheath or cascading bouquet, as they need to add height. These two types of bouquets give the illusion of length. Avoid posy bouquet as it would make you look more compact and even shorter.

If you are a tall bride…

Go for a large posy or a medium cascading bouquet. A large posy bouquet will draw the eye down and give people a focal point so that they won’t be focusing on your height.

And if you think you are a large bride…

Go for a large bouquet. A bigger wedding bouquet will make you seem much slimmer as opposed to a small bouquet will exaggerate your width, and make you look larger than you really are.
