I checked the sources of the comments when they appeared suspicious. Here’s what made them suspicious:

1. 2 “nice” comments in a span of 1 minute

2. Domain name linked to German Sausage is not valid

wassup hate to burst your bubble, am interning at insing with nouyen, those were our two cents worth of frank comments. If there is a need to plant “nice” things, its probably logical to say only good things? And dude, there are proxy servers that can hide IP address, I reckon insing people have the sense to mask their IP if they want to self promote.

Two "nice" comments by Nouyen and German Sausage within 1 minute from the same Class C (203.126.144.x) IP got me really curious so I did a check. Well, the IP belongs to SINGTEL-DIGITAL MEDIA PTE LTD.Is this the same secretive Digital Media subsidiary reported in the article SingTel's mysterious digital arm unveiled: Here comes inSing.com?

I am not in love with the launch ads too, i prefer the durian ads, more local. I like the website, its more local than yahoo, esp where to find good hawker food and shopping deals no need to flip newspapers everyday, more useful than yahoo.

I agree that the website might need some improvements.
I only go there for their Food section, the content in there is not too bad.
Anyway I found a new reason to visit inSing, I’m writing reviews to try to get one of those iPhones they are currently giving out… Gotta love them if I can get one!

Used their directory sites and most of the details are wrong. Can’t find many business listings as well. Considered that it is under Singtel ( assuming they have all the numbers of local businesses ) I find it disappointing.

Reviews also sounds very fake. Either from their own ppl or from the business owner. Note that for restaurants reviews, hungrygowhere actually posted some reviews and seems to be trying to direct traffic to their site. Wonders if ppl from Insing know about this.

Overall, it has a very similar feel to Yahoo. Don’t think I will be a fan of it.
